Greetings to my readers!

Welcome! If you are coming here for the first time or if you have been an avid reader from the beginning....just wanted to say hello! I decided to create this blog for my own use last summer to keep track of our training progress and goals. Lately I have not cared for the idea that "anyone" could read it, hence the reason why you now must be an invited reader. I am flattered that any of my friends wanted to read it in the first place!

If anyone else you know has been reading along and wants to be invited, have them send me an email! :) I just no longer want "random" people or folks looking to start trouble here any more.

Happy reading! And please feel free to post comments too! :)

  1. Great idea to limit readership. I like it.

I hope you do get to ride today 2//1/09.
I have to get into the box trailer and dig out more blankets as Jupiter, the blanket eating, Appy has gone through TWO this last week alone. We have more but GEEZ he must think they grow on trees here or something.

  2. The blanket and light bulb eating horse. :D Only funny because I don't have to live with him.

  3. Glad you made the decision to go "private" with your blog; even if it was made because people were intruding and presuming and ranking you. Makes you wonder how many people saw themselves in the post you wrote about what some people do with their horses -- argh!

Miss DREAM GIRL is a spoiled girl -- "oh, THIS bit? -- we must be jumping now! FUN!" Hope you are avoiding a D-ring snaffle -- she'll think she is at the track again! LOL!!

  4. TOTALLY spoiled! Both the mares are, of course. And no D-ring for Dreamy. That is traditionally more of a "hunter" show bit anyway. I used to use a loose ring snaffle (popular for dressage) but found it pinched her lips. So she goes in an eggbutt snaffle.....but it has to be double jointed (in her case, a french link) because she HATES a single jointed bit with a passion! Fussy mare! LOL!

And I am happy with going private too. I just feel badly for anyone who was innocently reading along...if I don't have their email, I cannot "invite" them back! Oh well...

  5. But since her two bits are now identical, I don't think she can tell if it is a "jumping" bit or a "dressage" bit. She just knows she is going to work! :D
