That said, I have won my fair share of ribbons since I started showing in 1989.
This is my tack room, full of horse show ribbons......
And this is my office, full of year end ribbons......
|I know, horrid pic. Tried to get the entire thing. :-(|
|That lonely third place ribbon (about the middle) is from a USDF show where Dreamy earned a 68%. It is one of the ribbons I am most proud of!!|
I want to have a ribbon quilt made and maybe even some of the cute pillows. But then I start thinking...do I cut up the ones that mean the most to me? Or do I cut up the "less important" ones? If I am going to spend hundreds of dollars and cut up my ribbons (!!!!), I want to be happy in my choice. But I cannot decide.
Anyway, in an effort to make room for 2012 year end awards, I decided to take down the fourth, fifth, and sixth place year end ribbons and make something. I cut off the long ribbon part and arranged the rosettes on a foam circle thing I purchased at a craft store. I just hot glued them on. I had one lonely fourth place ribbon left over, but oh well. LOL! I am sure there will be another project for it someday. I hung it up in the office and not only does it help save space, I think it is kind of cute! I would rather put it in my barn, but I am not sure how the damp and cold fall weather would affect it.
Any other ideas on what to do with them?
