After over 150 emails and dozens of phone calls, Reva has finally found a perfect new home. It was bittersweet (and I cried) to watch that trailer leave with my girl loaded up inside, but I am so pleased to know she is going to a family who will love her like I do. She is about an hour and a half north of me here in Maine, with people who have owned Standardbreds in the past and still do, so they understand and respect the breed. She will be the primary mount for the husband who does distance trail riding, specifically something called Cross State, and I think Reva will love that. I remember their daughter (a few years younger than I am) showing me with at three phase events and I have been to their farm to compete in the three phase they put on each year. They are involved with the local pony club, so I suspect the daughters and various pony club girls will spoil her too. So far, I hear she has adjusted well and fits into her new herd. My heart is happy!!
